At first blush, most of us, including me, thought this story represented a belated attempt to reign in the use of this evil family of bug-killer due to its lethal impact on beneficial pollinators. Well, not really. It's a new tactic to counter the fact the bloody things aren't even doing their job properly - making harmful crop insects resistant. It's all about economics. Always is, always was. But don't worry! The "crop protection" industry and Ag Canada are on the case. Boy, do I feel better!
