The natural gas companies have their sights on the Saint-Lawrence valley: they want to extract natural gas in the Utica Shale using fracturing methods. Quebec newspapers seem to say that the explosions in the shale will be done with nitroglycerine, rather than with fracturing fluids like they do in the Marcellus Shale: http://www.ledevoir.com/2009/10/20/272530.html We are talking here about the most populated area in the province of Quebec. I wonder what kind of earhquakes we are going to get here!
