Smoke blankets Siberia. (A European Space Agency image.) According to the World Weather Attribution Centre, the heatwave there this year was “almost impossible” without climate change! In the first six months, Siberia recorded a record-breaking 38 DEGREES C! It led to wildfires, loss of permafrost and an invasion of pests.
