With depressingly ironic timing, the Trump administration has recently announced a plan to roll back federal rules on methane, a potent greenhouse gas that is the main component in natural gas. When it comes to extreme weather, Mr. Trump is complicit. More here.

Bingo. This is a message I've been trying to impart, in my own bumbling way, since this fool was elected. Thanks again, Washington Post. You are performing a function the politicians should be doing, in this case, the Democrats. As devastating wildfires have once again ravaged my own country, from BC too Ontario, Trump's counterpart "Republicans" here in Canada, including Ford, Scheer, Kenney et al, are likewise complicit. They are not fit for office.
