IT MAY NOT SEEM LIKE IT RIGHT NOW, BUT....


If we keep developing a fossil fuel-based economy (high-emissions scenario), the average annual temperature in SHOAL LAKE, MANITOBA is likely to increase by 5 C to 9.3 C by the end of the century, compared to the average from 1981-2010. If we maintain current development patterns (medium-emissions scenario), the temperature is likely to rise by 2.9 C to 5.9 C. If governments make a major shift now toward sustainable development (low-emissions scenario), the increase is likely to be between 1.6 C to 4.5 C.
