So Hydro wants us to turn off our lights so it can sell more energy to the States - so they can power more cell phones, laptops and X-boxes! Meanwhile, the destruction of our remaining Boreal wilderness will continue, in order to accommodate ever-more billion-dollar generating stations! That's progress!
Its time for Manitobans to escape the tyranny of this government and its puppet corporations. I live outside the city and have no access to the "green?"natural gas that will be part of Hydro's conservation plan. I'm now going to seriously look into solar so I can cut my hydro lines the same way I cut my phone lines 20 years ago. Is the government going to support me and others in switching off our Hydro? I doubt it. I dont want their help anyways. Its time we all looked into this because I can't afford 4% a year for the next 20 years. I've had enough.
