Sometimes, the things we humans indulge in are not, in and of themselves, harmful. It is usually their MAGNITUDE that is problematic. I recognize and respect the "zero tolerance" position of vegans. But wouldn't it still be better if there were just 1 billion of us instead of 8 billion (& counting), with correspondingly fewer gluttons devouring fewer animals which in return would require the slashing and burning of vastly smaller forests that make all this disgraceful, hedonistic behaviour possible?
