As puzzling as it may sound, it appears there is at least a "pause" of some kind in global warming trends. It would be foolhardy to jump to any hasty conclusions. It is a tangled topic, indeed. Last winter in my home province of Manitoba, Canada, was long and brutal with tonnes of snow. Early summer was more like fall. Now, into Sept. temperatures have been breaking record highs again...time will tell.....
