Not to be outdone, Canadian fishers are eyeing the EU "experiment" with electrical shock with some interest. A group from Fundy North in New Brunswick seemed properly impressed when they were briefed in the Netherlands last year about the practise. The "industry-oriented," website, "The Canadian Fisheries Research Network," reports they were "very interested by the presentation (by their Dutch colleagues) and in particular the use of pulse trawling for flounder."
