When the Crystal Serenity, a 1000-passenger luxury liner, sails in August on a month-long Arctic cruise through the Northwest Passage, it will have a far more utilitarian escort; a British supply ship. Story here.

I do not wish these passengers (or the cruise company) well. They are like hyenas, praying on a gazelle....taking ghoulish delight watching the Arctic die before their eyes while wilfully contributing to that death by their actions. I can imagine them dining on endangered species (polar bear and penguin, perhaps?) in the stateroom as they indulge their wicked ways. I could say - I wish it would sink - but I won't.
