Europe poised for total ban on bee-harming pesticides

Exclusive: Draft regulations seen by the Guardian reveal the European commission wants to prohibit the insecticides that cause ‘acute risks to bees.’ Details here.

Canada will take the most widely-used bee-killing insecticide off the market. But not for another three years. Oddly enough, Health Canada did not even consider risks to pollinators in this re-evaluation. That will happen in a separate assessment.
